Paris

As a disclaimer, it is noon here and like 3 AM back home so I am wide awake and terribly exhausted.  Please forgive what will inevitably be the ramblings of a madwoman.

I am in Paris, or rather that is what they tell me.  It could be any city really as the fog is so thick.  So thick in fact that we all believed we were descending slowly through the clouds when we suddenly hit runway.  I didn't even get to see the skyline.  Pity too, because we hit France right around sunrise . . .

I haven't touched this country since I was 15.  Funny how smell is the strongest sense in terms of recall.  A number of people on the plane were terribly distraught that I would be unable to spend any real time in Paris.  My non-committal shrugs probably did not accurately capture my apathy.  My favorite memory from Paris will probably always be terrorizing my room-mate Carla while wearing my bright purple sleep sack over my head and moving around the hotel room like a vicious giant slug.  Location was not a critical component to that event.

Anyway, boarding now.  Will have more exciting things to say soon, I'm certain
